Job Description:

1. Responsibilities

• Assists employees in multiple departments. This position is an opportunity to evaluate an employee’s abilities, to see what department will be a good fit for the employee as well as the employer.
• Cleans metal with handheld grinders
• Runs errands as needed, stock supplies, organize, material handling etc.

 

Supervision:

• Typically works with direct supervision

 

Job Requirements:

A.   Education  & Training

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting is preferred
• Ability to pass Continental Companies Fork truck certification test

B.   Technical Requirements

• Effectively operate a crane
• Effectively operate a fork truck
• Ability to use hand tools

 

C.   Physical Requirements

Performs climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting; holds and grips objects; exerts in excess of 100lbs of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20lbs of force constantly to move objects.  Subject to prolonged periods of walking and standing.  Subject to repetitive motion of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.       

 

Working Conditions

This position is subject to working both indoors and outdoors, subject to extreme cold and heat due to the weather, subject to noise and subject to fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation that could affect the respiratory system of the skin, is also subject to oils.  The position is also required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
